LEON BRIDGES LIVE!! | REDHAT
Leon Bridges
“I photographed Leon Bridges at the Red Hat Amphitheater in Raleigh NC. I have never seen or photographed Leon before but a lot of people were telling me how great he is. We were able to photograph him from the pit. The crowd was full at the Red Hat, I am pretty sure it was close to sold out. When Leon came on I immediately felt this Motown vibe from his style, performance and music. It was almost like a gospel style experience mixed some blues. I was really excited by this because I loved and still love Motown music. I believe it is one of the most important genres of music ever. He walked out with a quiet yet energetic stage presence. His clothing was bright, very colorful and he moved around as if in a consent motion of dance through out his performance. He addressed the crowd and said hello to everyone even cracking a few jokes here and there. He sang clearly and the band was great. Each band member from what I could hear was on point and kept with the flow of Leon and his stage performance. The crowd was excited and danced right along with him. I was impressed by his performance and would stop for a moment to let myself feel the vibes and music he was expressing on stage. If you get a chance check out his show, it really is a good time. ”
