Canadian electro-pop duo Purity Ring took the stage at the Ritz with an entrancing performance complimented by stunning visuals.  Opening with 'pink lightning,' the duo was shrouded in smoke as vocalist Megan James' ethereal voice broke through the thumping bass. The crowd was brought to life by their warm synths and anthemic choruses that made it hard not to dance along. Throughout the performance, psychedelic imagery was projected across the stage as their music flowed seamlessly from song to song as one cohesive set. A highlight of their set was an experimental rendition of “Knife Prty” by The Deftones, a remix that meshes incredibly well despite the wild difference in genres. Purity Ring’s performance was a carefree dance party, building up an atmospheric experience for all who attended.
