Coverage by Chris Sturk

Hawthorne Heights delivered a nostalgic and heartfelt performance that was truly a treat for long-time fans. Formed in 2001, the band played a pivotal role in shaping the emo punk music scene of the early 2000s. Their music transcends age and genre, resonating with listeners across diverse musical tastes.

One of their iconic tracks, "Ohio is for Lovers," released in 2004, remains a defining anthem of the emo rock era. During their live performance of this song, the crowd's enthusiasm reached its peak—fans sang every lyric so passionately that lead singer JT Woodruff's vocals were nearly drowned out by the audience. It was a powerful moment that showcased the enduring connection between the band and their fans.

Seeing Hawthorne Heights perform live for the first time was an unforgettable experience, and their ability to bring joy to their audience is a testament to their lasting impact. If you haven't caught them on tour yet, don't miss the chance to relive the magic of their music!
