JULIA WOLF LIVE!! | MOTORCO MUSIC HALL
Coverage by Larissa Blankenship
Julia Wolf brought her incredible Pressure World Tour to Motorco Music Hall in Durham, NC on June 22nd. Wolf is a New York native whose indie-pop vibes and haunting lyrics have captured fans around the world. Her most recent album PRESSURE was released in May of this year and met with high praise from fans and critics alike. Wolf has an impressive discography of original songs and collaborations. Most notably teaming up with Machine Gun Kelly (also known as mgk) for a duet cover of “Iris” by the Goo Goo Dolls earlier this spring.
The Carolina heat clearly did not deter Wolf’s eager fans who lined up down the street waiting for the doors to open and the energy inside built in anticipation of Wolf taking to the stage. Wolf was met with cheers and she started the sold out show with “Loser”, the fourth song off her newest album. The singer was smiling and dancing through the whole set as fans sang along to the lyrics.
The night closed with “In My Room,” the lead single from PRESSURE, offering a perfect emotional crescendo to a night that felt deeply intimate and wildly energetic. Wolf’s unique blend of introspective songwriting and “rock star” stage charisma makes her a must-see act—and if her Durham show was any indication, she’s only getting started.
